Shelter switches its mobile services to Qubic Group plc

Shelter, the housing and homelessness charity has switched its service for 500 mobile telephones and 50 Blackberry devices from Vodafone to an O2 service provided by Qubic Group plc, the specialist voice and data communications company. Shelter required a mobile solution that offered increased flexibility and greater value-for-money to help maximise resources available to its core services. The charity went through a rigorous tendering process and identified an O2 solution via Qubic Group plc.
Qubic Group plc proposed a line-rental free SIM only solution for the voice handsets and supplied Blackberry devices as a mobile data solution. The key was flexibility for Shelter to be able to add, move, change, swap and remove devices to aid staff to undertake their roles effectively, together with improved value for money. A web based portal allows Shelter to self manage its entire mobile estate allocating devices to staff and staff to call centres whenever required.
