Nudge to develop JustGiving's Facebook app

Howard Lake | 5 May 2010 | News

Online fundraising platform JustGiving has appointed Nudge Social Media to deliver the next version of its Facebook application. Launched in 2007, the application is designed to link Facebook users’ accounts with their Justgiving accounts to provide them with tools to promote their fundraising activities.
The next stage of developments in the application are based on JustGiving’s users’ feedback. Marathon runner James Lubbock, a social media specialist from Nudge and a JustGiving fundraiser, is one of the team working on the next stage.
This will involve “a deeper integration with the Facebook platform”, enabling more social actions such as updates to friends and “follow a friend”.
Elizabeth Kessick, JustGiving’s community product manager said: “Most people who are raising money on JustGiving are using Facebook – and we want to make sure we’re giving them the best possible Facebook tools to get the message out about their fundraising effort.”
Toby Beresford, Commercial Director at Nudge said: “This is just the start of some really exciting social media ideas we’ve been developing with JustGiving to really give charities a lift when raising funds on the world’s most popular social network.”
