Hallmark Cards’ Corporate Giving Programme for Mother’s Day this month reaches a total of £1 million. This is the fourth consecutive year of Hallmark Cards’ Cards for a Cure™ campaign which has donated a quarter of a million pounds to breast cancer charities for Mother’s Day every year since 2007, irrespective of card and gift sales.
Breast Cancer Campaign in the UK and the Irish Cancer Society have also benefited from raising awareness of the disease through the dedicated Mother’s Day marketing programme which includes national TV advertising campaign, from 1 to 13 March, as well as design-led point of sale and PR.
Christina Partakides, Breast Cancer Campaign’s Corporate Partnerships Manager said: “Hallmark’s contribution of a staggering £1 million and continued support has made a major difference to breast cancer research projects throughout the UK and Ireland. Not only has the donation helped us continue funding world-class research, but Hallmark’s high profile marketing campaign builds awareness of the importance of our work, which we are truly grateful.”
