Santander Foundation donates £20,000 to DEC appeal for Haiti

The Santander Foundation has donated £20,000 donation to the Disaster Emergency Committee’s (DEC) appeal to help the survivors of the Haiti earthquake disaster.

The Santander Foundation is a charitable trust set up by retail and commercial bank Santander in the UK to offer practical help to registered charities.

Santander itself will also be matching fundraising that any of its 23,000 employees make to any of the charities involved in supporting the relief effort.

The bank has also set up a dedicated account: customers can donate to the DEC fund via all 1,300 Santander and Alliance & Leicester branches.
