Howard Lake | 21 September 2009 | News

The Irish dairy farmers who produce Kerrygold butter are offering two £1,000 for the most inspirational community project group and the most inspirational young community group. They are seeking nominations for inspirational examples of cooperative and community spirit.

Michael Crowley, one of the Kerrygold Irish dairy farmers, said: “We are proud and passionate about what we do and being able to share what we have achieved is one of the great advantages of working in a cooperative.”

Entrants should write in no more than 250 words explaining why they should win. They should explain why the group was formed, why it was important to act collectively rather than as individuals, and what benefits the group has brought to the community.
