People's Postcode Lottery makes first grants

Following its first found of grantmaking, the People’s Postcode Trust is inviting new applications from eligible organisations in Scotland.

The People’s Postcode Trust was set up by the People’s Postcode Lottery to offer funding for three-month projects in Scotland ranging from £500 up to £10,000.

To date players of the People’s Postcode Lottery have raised over £700,000 for the People’s Postcode Trust to distribute.

To be eligible, projects must address one ore more of the following purposes:

• To prevent poverty, sickness and distress for the benefit of the public

• To promote, maintain, improve and advance health;

• To advance citizenship or community development;

• To advance public participation in sport;

• To promote, improve and advance human rights, conflict resolution or reconciliation;

• To promote and advance environmental protection or improvement.
