Irish Fundraising Awards deadline approaches

Howard Lake | 28 August 2009 | News

Organisations and fundraisers have only until 1 September to complete their nominations for the Irish Fundraising Awards.

Awards will be given under three categories – fundraiser of the year, fundraising campaign of the year and best community/volunteer fundraiser of the year.

The awards have been established to give recognition to the profession of fundraising in Ireland and to recognise exceptional achievement within the fundraising community. All nominations are marked against the published criteria on the awards website by a panel of impartial judges.

Nominations can be made by all fundraisers, charitable organisations and interested parties. Self-nomination by an organisation is also possible in the case of the ‘Campaign of the Year’ category only. Applicants can make as many nominations as they wish and there is no charge to make a nomination.

Any organisation, which has a CHY number in Ireland, and which is independently governed, or any individual who works with such an organisation (paid or unpaid as the case may be, depending on the category) may win an award. Organisations which have CHY numbers, but which are not completely independent of the state are ineligible to be nominated.
