Each One Counts for The Prince’s Trust

Youth charity The Prince’s Trust has today announced a national recycling drive, raising money to help young people into work.

The Trust will be working with Each One Counts, recycling inkjet cartridges and mobile phones to raise the cash.

Research has shown that around half of the UK general public still fail to recycle unused mobiles and empty inkjet cartridges. This puts a quite unnecessary burden on landfill sites, as many of these items can be reused or refurbished to put to constructive use again. Each One Counts collects these items completely free of charge, and not a single cartridge collected goes to landfill.

Julian Barrell, director of fundraising, The Prince’s Trust said: ” Recycling in this way is a great, economical way of supporting us – and it doesn’t cost a penny! The money raised will help hundreds of disadvantaged young people into work.”

The Prince’s Trust needs £1 million a week to continue it’s work. For every successfully recycled mobile phone The Prince’s Trust will receive £3 and for every inkjet cartridge £1.

Each One Counts uses cutting-edge technology to ensure a positive supporter experience of recycling. With carefully targeted contacts instead of old-fashioned and wasteful mass distribution of recycling bags, and the opportunity to collect both mobiles and cartridges with the same scheme, Each One Counts promises far greater environmental efficiency as well as income generation.

Emma Corry, Charity Account Manager at Each One Counts said: “We are thrilled that The Prince’s Trust has chosen Each One Counts. It is a compliment to our environmental credentials, our system and our whole team. We are looking forward to helping them meet their objectives”.
