With the theme of ‘Silver Lining,’ this year’s Northern Ireland annual fundraising conference is aimed at encouraging, motivating and skilling local fundraisers to face the challenges of today’s difficult economic climate.
Mark Pollock, Northern Ireland’s own champion adventurer and an internationally renowned motivational speaker, has been announced as one of the main speakers. Mark recently became the first blind man to reach the South Pole.
The Convention will be held on Thursday 25th June 2009 at the Ramada Hotel, Belfast. To ensure that community groups and small fundraising organisations can participate, a special Community Group Rate is available and an early booking discount is in place for those who book before 22nd May.
Topics to be discussed at the conference include fundraising in America, fundraising PR, big gift fundraising, the value of mergers and issues around fundraising and the recession.
Speakers include David Wickert of Chapel and York, Lindsay Boswell of the IOF, consultant Kevin McCaughan, Bill Osborne of VSB and Sandara Kelso-Robb of Lloyds TSB Foundation.
