New agency Open is open for business

Howard Lake | 10 November 2008 | News

Open fundraising, a new agency for the not-for-profit sector, has launched. Set up by Tim Longfoot and James Briggs, formerly Client Services Director and Planning Director at charity specialists Bluefrog, Open “will bring the right people together to change the world.”
The new agency will offer services covering integrating telephone, face-to-face and digital media, but will specialise particularly in the areas of social networking technology and corporate partnerships.
Duncan Olby, Head of Financial Products at Paypal and former Commercial Director of Airmiles, joins as Open’s first non-executive director.
Briggs said: “We called it Open because that’s the first thing you need anyone to do with a communication. But it’s also about using open technologies to bring people together and the way we want to work”.
Longfoot added: “The fact is that the best people will almost always be outside your company. An open network of partners means a better service for charities and better results for the people they help.”
The company has already won its first pitch according to the statistics on its blog.
