Everyclick launches Considerate Christmas campaign to businesses

Howard Lake | 5 November 2008 | News

Online search and donation site Everyclick is encouraging businesses to donate money to charity this Christmas rather than spend it on wasteful cards and corporate gifts.
Everyclick is letting businesses choose from over 200,000 charities listed on its site to donate to, and provides an online Christmas greeting that can be sent to contacts, clients, staff or customers.
The sender or the recipient can choose the charity, and “unlike traditional charity Christmas cards where only 10% of the cost goes to charity, with Everyclick up to 121% of your donation goes to charity”.
Polly Gowers, founder and managing director of Everyclick, said that the service was introduced to help counter the environmental impact of the waste created by traditional paper cards and gifts.
“Giving through Everyclick means you can send your contacts a meaningful gift, without filling up wastepaper baskets (or recycling bins). It’s goodwill for them, and it’s goodwill for the environment”, she said.
Companies using the Everyclick Christmas greeting service get to display their logo on the Everyclick website. They also receive a variety of ways to communicate their donation including a website ‘badge’, an email signature sign-off, and a press release for their website’s news section.
