AltaContact's amusing daily messages

Howard Lake | 28 October 2008 | Blogs

Following the launch of its company Marathon campaign offer, online fundraising service AltaContact has been sending out a daily email update to its target audience.
They all encourage you to sign up for its offer, of course, but they are all quirky, which in my view makes them stand out from other messages from commercial organisations.
Today’s email is entitled “Dates for Your Diary, Spring 2009” and lists a seemingly random collection of events around the UK.
“12th February: Shropshire Arts & Crafts – Composing Paintings at Aston on Clun
“3rd – 6th March: Kiss Me Kate – Byre Theatre, St Andrews , Fife
“30th April – Exhumations – Digging for Detail, 1 day conference, Conway Business Centre, Llandudno Junction”
Underneath that comes the sales pitch:
“1st February to 30th April: Charities’ Exclusive Offer: Only 25p + VAT service charge for all sponsorship donation transactions. Branding: Your own. Location: AltaContact’s hosted fundraising pages platform.
This could be your opportunity to cut around 50% of your online sponsorship fundraising costs. Don’t miss it!
Only 7 working days left for sign up!
Contact AltaContact today“.
Well, I liked its gentle and quirky approach.
