Nominations for 2009 Conrad N. Hilton Humanitarian Prize open

Howard Lake | 15 October 2008 | News

Nominations are still open for the 2009 Conrad N. Hilton Humanitarian Prize, the world’s largest humanitarian award. Each year it is given to an organisation that has made an extraordinary contribution toward alleviating human suffering in the world.
The award is given to an established nonprofit, charitable, or non-governmental organisation, not to an individual. It is not a grant based on future goals, but an award for recent and historic accomplishments.
The 2009 prize will be announced in Autumn 2009.
Nominated organizations must have an operating budget (expenditures) greater than U.S. $500,000 and have been legally established for at least five years.
Nominations must be received or postmarked by 3 November 2008.
