Bauer Radio Charities seek new mascot name

Bauer Radio Charities is offering a prize of £500 to the school that comes up with the best name for its new Cash for Kids official feline mascot.
Each of the 19 Bauer Radio stations across Scotland, Northern England and Ireland will be encouraging listeners in their area to help come up with a name for the mascot. The rebranding of the Cash for Kids charity is “a bid to leverage the power of national branding”.
Dawn Gibson, Marketing and Communications Director at Bauer Radio Charities said: “As all our fundraising goes directly towards helping underprivileged children we thought there would be no-one better placed to come up with our cat’s name than local youngsters”.
Bauer’s radio stations all operate local charity initiatives for sick and underprivileged children. In 2007/08 they raised a total of £4.5 million.
Earlier this year it was announced that Sir Tom Hunter would be backing the rebranding of the charity by pledging £4 million over the next ten years to underwrite 50% of all its running costs.
