I’ve just come across The Girl Effect, a video from girleffect.org. (Thanks for the tip, Steve Bridger).
It argues succinctly that enabling girls and giving them opportunities can have dramatic effects for themselves, their society, and, if you believe the video’s message, the world.
Of course the argument isn’t new to international development charities. But it’s good to see the argument aired in a concise, simple video. It’s not fundraising, but once again it demonstrates the potential power of short video messages to support a charity’s campaign, whether that be a fundraising or awareness-raising campaign.
