Institute to hold conference on integrating fundraising and campaigning

The Institute of Fundraising is holding a one-day conference on how fundraising and campaigning can be integrated effectively. The Fundraising and Campaigning Conference will take place on 23 September 2008 at the New Connaught Rooms, London, WC2.
Fundraising and campaigning have often not sat well together in charities, with mutual suspicions between the different departments, based on concerns about sending out mixed messages, over-mailing supporters, and in some cases the lack of coherent shared strategies.
This conference therefore will look at both traditional campaigning organisations and service delivery charities who have taken a more integrated approach to their supporter strategies.
Sessions include War on Want on merging, analysing and segmenting supporter data; Cancer Research UK on street prospecting as a method of integrating fundraising and campaigning; and Avaaz on combining fundraising and campaigning online.
Delegate rates start at £175 and include lunch and a free audio recording of the whole conference.
UK Fundraising is a media partner for this and other Institute of Fundraising one-day conferences.
