Collecting old mobile phones for ChildLine

Shepherd Construction has donated 180 old mobile phones collected from its company headquarters in York and donated them to children’s charity ChildLine. Once recycled, the phones will be worth £1,800 to the charity.
The company has also raised an extra £340 so far for ChildLine by donating £1 for every Employee Satisfaction survey that has been returned by staff to the head office.
Vaughan Burnand, Shepherd Construction’s chief executive said: “Recycling old mobile phones is a simple, yet effective way for companies to help charities, and therefore it made sense to turn ours into a useful fundraiser for the charity.”
