EDM Media launches three new lists

List company EDM Media has launched three new mailing lists that are relevant for charity fundraisers – data from The Guideposts Trust, Hopegivers International, and the Sweepstake file.
Mental health charity Guideposts Trust runs an ongoing monthly direct mail programme. The new data being released for rental for the first time is 8,000 names that have responded specifically to monthly survey mailings. Names are 60% female, 39% male, predominantly aged 60+ with 54% retired. Known hobbies include knitting, gardening, puzzles, reading and stamp/coin collecting.
Hopegivers International’s list consists of 4,591 active donors who have been recruited by direct mail and given generously to the charity. It is likely to grow significantly in forthcoming months.
The list will perform exceptionally well for direct mail campaigns, for mail order catalogues and charity mailers targeting the over 50s market. Previously only available on a swap basis, the data “is ideal for tests and is responding well to third world charity offers”.
Profiling and data analysis shows that these individuals tend to support a wide range of charitable causes, particularly Christian and third world causes.
The Sweepstake File consists of 45,000 names that have entered instant cash prize draws, inserted into various mailings, with a chance to win £10,000. The prize draws are run on behalf of a number of charities including medical charities for sick children and animal related causes. The responders have not donated to the charities concerned, but did enter the free prize draw.
EDM Media say that “this new list is ideal for sweepstake and incentivised mail order offers, as well as raffle and competition mailers”.
There is a gender split of 58% female to 42% male, they tend to be over 45 years old and they respond particularly well to direct mail offers. The Sweepstake File is MPS screened.
