The Institute of Fundraising has announced the appointment of two new trustees.
Mark Astarita, director of fundraising at the British Red Cross and Mike Barnes, director of marketing and business development at the Direct Marketing Association were co-opted to the board. The governance structure allows a maximum of five non-elected trustees and these appointments are made when the board feels it would be enhancd by adding a particular area of expertise.
Barnes’ membership and marketing experience and Astarita’s fundraising and direct mail knowledge will complement the board as it moves forward.
This follows the announcement that Paul Amadi of the RNIB will take over as chair from Joe Saxton in the summer.
