Online fundraising service Bmycharity has partnered with Runner’s World, the UK’s largest running magazine, to promote running in aid of charities to the 300,000 runners that visit Runner’s World’s website each month.
Runners register for over 600 races each year through the Runner’s World website. All race entrants will be invited to fundraise through Bmycharity at the end of the event registration process, and Runner’s World research indicates that over 100,000 runners will take up the fundraising challenge.
Charities and event operators will be able to promote themselves to this audience by advertising on Bmycharity, offering what Bmycharity calls “a new supply of running fundraisers”.
Ben Brabyn, Managing Director of Bmycharity, said: “Our agreement with Runner’s World will bring thousands of new fundraisers to Bmycharity and our partner charities, and provide runners with a quick, free and easy way to fundraise”.
Steven Seaton, Publishing Director of Runner’s World, added: “We know that a large portion of our website users already raise money for charity through their running. Our goal is to simplify that process and add greater value to their fundraising efforts and I’m sure that this relationship with Bmycharity will help achieve both those goals.”
