Opportunity to make the ‘world of difference’

Howard Lake | 15 January 2008 | News

Want to work for your favourite charity for a year? And still get paid? That’s the offer from the Vodafone Ireland Foundation’s latest round of ‘World of Difference’ funding.
Building on last year’s success, Vodafone Ireland Foundation World of Difference programme is offering up to four Irish residents the chance to actively participate in and support the cause that moves them most. Successful applicants will be offered a salary (up to €40,000) and necessary expenses to enable them to fulfil their ambition.
The World of Difference is a unique flagship project for Vodafone Foundation’s across the world (currently run in New Zealand, Australia and Netherlands). Participants on these projects have been hugely successful and their involvement has been of great benefit to the charities that they supported.
To win a place on World of Difference you have to demonstrate you are passionate and prove you have the relevant skills, knowledge and qualities necessary to make a real difference to your chosen charity. Whether it is taking time out to support your favourite charity, be it with people, animals or the environment; or approaching a charity with an idea that you believe could revolutionise their cause, Vodafone Ireland Foundation wants to make it possible for you to focus your energies full-time on your selected cause.
The deadline for applications is 28th February and you can apply via the foundation’s website.
