Institute of Fundraising Scotland Awards announced

The Institute of Fundraising Scotland has announced the winners of its Annual Awards at an awards dinner held during its annual conference.

Bethany Christian Trust’s Catherine Rawlinson-Watkins received the fundraiser of the year award in recognition of her role in doubling her organisation’s income and its supporter database.

Volunteer of the year, given to a volunteer who has made a sustained and exceptional contribution to fundraising, was awarded to wing-walking grandmother Isobel Craigie. At the age of 80, she has raised over £20,000 for MS Scotland through a range of fundraising activities, including a wing-walk.

Quarriers won two awards in Direct Marketing and Communications, and Community Fundraising. Sense Scotland won the Donor Recruitment award, while SCIAF won the Community/ Local Fundraising Award for their Wee box, Big Chance Campaign. The Partnership Fundraising Awards went to Cornerstone and Petrofac.

The awards dinner was hosted by Lloyds TSB Foundation for Scotland Chief Executive Andrew Muirhead.
