Morgan Stanley to raise £10 million for GOSH

Howard Lake | 17 October 2007 | News

Global financial services firm Morgan Stanley is aiming to raise £10 million for the Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity, to contribute to the construction of the Morgan Stanley Clinical Building within the new children’s medical centre.

Over the next three years, Morgan Stanley staff in the UK will be raising money through events such as quiz nights, Christmas fairs and black-tie evenings. Teams have already taken part in the Enduro Challenge, an annual charity grudge-match against other banks, and have signed up to run in the London Marathon in April 2008. The trading floor of Morgan Stanley has also pledged to take part in the charity’s annual Trading Day in December 2007.

The Morgan Stanley Clinical Building, which is due to open in 2011, will replace the current Barrie Wing and provide modern inpatient wards for children with acute conditions and chronic illnesses, state of the art operating theatres, enhanced diagnostic facilities and a nurse-led transitional care unit.
