The NCVO has launched a new package of services to meet the needs of leaders in the voluntary sector and to develop the next generation of leaders.

The Leadership Services bring together networking servicesnad personal development opportunities and are aimed at chairs, trustees, chief executives, directors and leaders of the future.

Services will include the Third Sector Future Thinkers network for young and emerging leaders; Third Sector Foresight – a fully-interactive web resource for strategic planners; and NCVO’s Leaders Network with breakfast briefings and dinners and regular email alerts on current sector issues.

Other services will be executive coaching, legal support and access to research, policy briefings and events.

NCVO’s chief executive Stuart Etherington said: The skills that voluntary sector leaders need are both distinct and multidimensional. They are faced with particular accountability structures, different reporting environments, investment strategies and increasingly complex demands from partners, funders and investors. These services will therefore help to support established and emerging leaders and are open to everyone in the sector.
