Two Technology Group event dates announced

The Institute of Fundraising Technology Group has announced its next two events, a rescheduled date for “Integrating your Database with your Website. Do we really need to start all over again?”, and “Social Networking… Gold Mine or Waste of Time?”

“Integrating your Database with your Website. Do we really need to start all over again?” was originally scheduled for earlier this month but a tube strike put paid to it. It will now be held, together with the Technology Group’s AGM, on 2 November, 2007 at the NCVO Conference Centre in London from 14.00 until 16.30.

The event will feature experts who can help you if you are considering, or are in the process of, integrating legacy systems with your website. Equally, the group encourages people who have successfully “or perhaps unsuccessfully” undertaken such a project to come along as well and share their experiences.

The group’s Christmas event is “Social Networking… Gold Mine or Waste of Time?” and takes place on 5 December 2007 at a time and venue to be confirmed. “Are you sick of people Twittering on about MySpace or Facebook, or should they just go and get a Second Life?” ask the event’s organisers. “Come along and network socially, with others interested in the social networking phenomenon.”
