Bryan Miller to blog on digital fundraising for UK Fundraising
UK Fundraising has launched a new blog on digital communications and Web 2.0 fundraising written by Bryan Miller, planning partner at WWAV Rapp Collins London.
This 11th UK Fundraising blog kicks off with an introduction to and definition of Web 2.0, a preview of the upcoming third annual Second Life Walkathon for the American Cancer Society, and a comment on the growth of social networking site Facebook.
Miller said that now is “an incredibly exciting time for anyone interested in using digital communications to help charities more effectively engage with consumers.” Which is why he agreed to write this blog: “I am genuinely excited by the opportunities available and I’m keen to share my excitement and get other people excited too,” he explained.

He encourages readers to join in the discussion and, “if you happen to come across something you think people should know about” to let him know so he can share it via the blog. In the face of such rapid technological change he suggests that “if everyone chips in we’ll at least have a chance to keep tabs on what’s going-on.”
Miller, who joined WWAV Rapp Collins last year from charity sector direct marketing specialists Whitewater, already contributes to the agency blog ‘Living in a digital world’, so has entitled his UK Fundraising blog ‘Giving in a digital world’.
