Stephen George is the Development Director for Legacies at the NSPCC. Stephen is new to legacies, and has taken on the task of re-energising legacies post FULL STOP. He has spent most of his fundraising life in community fundraising. He joined the NSPCC as Director of Community Fundraising in 1998 and through that time developed local fundraising and worked on the FULL STOP appeal, particularly the regional contribution of £55 million to the £250 million total. Stephen has recently become the new chairman of Remember a charity – a sector wide campaign of over 140 charities to make charitable will giving the norm.
Before joining the NSPCC, he was Head of Regional Fundraising at UNICEF in the UK and before that he spent 12 years at Scope.
