Action Aid is using online affiliate marketing service Affiliate Future to generate more direct debit donors, and is paying up to £6 commission for each donor signed up.
Action Aid has joined the list of charities that are using online affiliate marketing services to fundraise.
It is using the Affiliate Future network to secure direct debit donors for its child sponsorship programme. It is offering participating website owners £4 for every person that signs up to a direct debit with ActionAid Child Sponsorship.
Affiliates generating more than 10 sign ups will receive £5 per sign up, and those that generate more than 20 will earn £6 for each. A sign up is when a person agrees to sponsor a child and sets up a monthly direct debit via the ActionAid website.
To protect its brand online Action Aid instructs affiliates that, with regard to pay-per-click advertising, they are not allowed to bid on the charity’s brand names, their variations, or the terms ‘Child Sponsorship’ and ‘Sponsor a Child’.
ActionAid offers website owners a range of animated GIF adverts in eight different sizes.
