Twenty media placement awards available to UK charity workers

Howard Lake | 19 March 2007 | News

Media Connections 2007, run by the Voluntary Action Media Unit in partnership with the Media Trust, is offering 20 charity staff who liaise with the media the chance to spend one or two weeks working alongside journalists and producers at major media organisations such as the BBC, ITV and The Independent.

The awards are designed to help improve the skills and effectiveness of charity PR staff and to provide them with valuable contacts.

Media organisations that took part last year included BBC, Sky, ITV, ITN, The Financial Times, The Independent and a range of women’s magazines, regional newspapers and local radio.
