CAF chooses Computer Software Group to boost its Gift Aid reclaim services

Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) has chosen Computer Software Group (CSG) to help update its Fundraising Support Services’ IT systems and thereby help it assist charity clients in reclaiming more of the Gift Aid that is unclaimed each year.

CAF’s Fundraising Support Services offers charities donor management and fulfilment services, appeals management and e-fundraising services. Last year it reclaimed £3.6 million in tax on donations on behalf of charities.

Computer Software Group (CSG) will be working with CAF during 2007 to implement the new system, based on CSG’s Charisma service package.

Tracey Reddings, Executive Director, Charity Financial Services Tracey Reddings who heads up Charity Financial Services at CAF said: “It’s astounding that charities continue to loose hundreds of millions of pounds to the Treasury each year – money that is rightfully theirs.

“By investing in these new systems, we will be able to tackle this issue of unclaimed Gift Aid, as well as providing charities with greater information on their donors, so that they can make more strategic fundraising decisions in the future.”
