The Widowed and Young (WAY) Foundation, which celebrates its tenth anniversary this year, has relaunched with a new logo and website. The charity provides services for young widows and widowers across the UK.

The new logo retains some elements of its original version, including its blue colour, while looking “younger and more modern”, to reflect a membership of men and women in their twenties, thirties and forties.

The charity, founded in south Wales, now has around 1,200 members around the UK.

New Chair Rachel Green said: “We now have over 60 local groups across the country and there are events taking place every week, where people who have been bereaved young can meet others in the same situation and find friendship and support.”

WAY puts local members in touch with each other, sends out a regular newsletter, operates members-only message boards and an Internet chat room and local coordinators run events across the country. Weekends and holidays are also arranged for members and their children.

The website was redesigned by Top Left Design, and the logo by Dinnick & Howells.
