Cascaid launches relationship fundraising division

Fundraising and marketing agency Cascaid has launched a specialist Donor Care Division led by John Grain to offer “holistic donor care services”.

Cascaid says that its new Donor Care is “the first of its kind” in the UK charity sector that fills “a gaping hole in the marketplace for the needs of charities competing to hold on to their supporters”.

The new division is lead by John Grain, who spent ten years as in donor relationship marketing at Oxfam. As Cascaid’s Director of Supporter Services John also joins the Board of Cascaid Marketing.

Alan Clayton, founder and Managing Director of the Cascaid Group, explained the reason behind the new specialist division: People are at last recognising the need to protect their investments, to retain, develop and build the value of the donors they have already connected with”, he said. “We intend to help our clients do just that as we bring into play highly sophisticated services that will lead the field in lifetime value marketing.”

Practical functions supporting the service include a wide variety of techniques such as the development of strategies, donor care audits, reviews of current activity, competitive market analysis and mystery shopping, and research and focus groups. These are supported by practical training, staff recruitment, team building and sourcing, appointing and managing third party services and suppliers.
