Ireland Funds plan big Washington dinner

The American Ireland Funds in Washington DC will mark their 15th anniversary with a National Gala and Awards dinner under patronage of An Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern. A peace award will be given to Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the US House of Representatives.
A portion of the proceeds from the gala, which will be a significant six figure sum, will be donated to programs that are unique to Washington DC, including the Washington-Ireland Program For Service And Leadership and Peace Players International.
The gala will take place in the prestigious National Building Museum on 14th March, with individual tickets starting at ‚€1000.

The Washington DC event is one of a number taking place around St Patrick’s Day in Philadelphia, New York, Toronto and Pittsburgh.
