The National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO) has published a pocket guide ‘Introducing Funding and Finance’ for voluntary and community organisations.

The 44-page booklet was commissioned by the Finance Hub and is part of a larger suite of resources aimed at voluntary organisations and the funding advisers who support them.

The pocket guide can be downloaded at no charge or hard copies can be obtained from the NCVO’s Sustainable Funding Team.

The guide covers sustainable funding, the link between planning and funding, earned income from trading and contracting, loans, financial management, and fundraising. It is designed to offer a “snap-shot of sector funding and basic exercises to guide organisations through the topics covered.”
