WaterAid launches schools appeal for World Water Day

WaterAid is appealing to schools across the UK support its World Water Day campaign on by taking part inits Buckets of Pennies for Buckets of Water appeal.

WaterAid is offering schools free fundraising packs, featuring ideas of how to turn buckets of pennies into buckets of water. There are three packs aimed at nursery, primary and secondary school children, which include assembly outlines, lesson plans and fundraising tips, specifically written for each age group.

Teachers can also make a donation and receive Splish, Splash, Flush – a DVD all about WaterAid and the importance of clean water and toilets to accompany their lessons.

World Water Day takes place on 22 March.
