Technology company Siemens are aiming to raise £35,000 for breast cancer charity, The Genesis Appeal, over the next two years.

During 2006 Siemens raised over £12,000 for the Breast Cancer Prevention Centre in Whythenshawe Hospital, Manchester, with initiatives such as the BUPA Great Manchester Run, in which over 60 employees took part.

The latest fundraising activity has involved staff and site visitors at the Siemens offices in Manchester sponsoring for £1 each light bulbs on a 25ft Christmas tree, lit pink, in front of the company offices.
