Institute launches National Fundraising Awards
The Institute of Fundraising has launched the National Awards which will be presented at the National Convention in London in July.
Sponsored by Dataforce Charities with ThirdSectorJobs.co.uk as media partner, the awards will be presented at a gala dinner.
Chairing the judges will be Andrew Cook, director of fundraising and communications at WaterAid and the judging panel includes UK Fundraising’s Howard Lake, Nicky Bishop of WWF and Theresa Dauncey of the National Hospicel Development Foundation.

There are 15 categories, split into Campaigns and Individual and Teams. They are: best e-media campaign; best direct mail fundraising campaign; best telephone campaign; best face-to-face campaign; best local/regional campaign; best business-charity partnership; best donor acquisition campaign; best donor development campaign; most innovative fundraising campaign; volunteer fundraiser of the year; fundraising team of the year; best fundraising charity to work for; best up and coming fundraiser; fundraiser of the year and the lifetime contribution award. Nominations close on 2 March and forms can be downloaded from www.nationalfundraisingawards.org.uk
IoF’s chief executive Lindsay Boswell said This new National Awards programme is a key part of the Institute’s commitment to champion best practice in fundraising, as well as an opportunity to celebrate fundraisers’ hard work and successs.
UK fundraising will be running a National Awards blog starting in the new year which will remind you of the closing date, profile shortlisted entries and carry interviews with winners after the Awards ceremony in July.
