John Grain Associates’ new website is offering free Tribute Giving creative templates for downloads with the intention of helping more charities set up in memoriam or tribute giving programmes.

The templates have been professionally written and designed and are available either as design-ready Quark Express files or as Adobe Acrobat files (PDFs).

They have to designed to be easily adaptable and are copyright free “with no restrictions of any kind”. They include an Information Leaflet, Announcement Cards, an A-Z of Fundraising, and a Standing Order form.

Director Claire Newton explained why they had offered this service. “We have created the templates to meet a genuine fundraising need,” she said. “From working with a number of charities to increase their In-Memoriam income, it was apparent that many organisations found the creative costs prohibitive. By offering these downloads completely free and with no obligation whatsoever, we hope to remove that barrier for anyone interested in starting a Tribute Giving programme.”

As well as the templates, site visitors can also download a guide to Tribute Giving. The company has also added links to a range of free alternative images that charities can use to add to the templates.

Newton added: “The idea was inspired by the concept of shareware in the software world, and as far as we know this is the first time that something like this has been offered within our sector. We hope that people will take these templates, adapt and improve them, and above all use them to help raise lots of additional income.”

John Grain Associates, an NCVO-approved consultancy, offers practical consultancy support across a range of fundraising disciplines including strategy, individual giving, supporter care, In-memoriam giving, and creativity and innovation.
