Howard Lake | 6 November 2006 | News

Action Medical Research has launched ‘Action Partners’, an initiative giving generous individuals and companies the chance to get an insight into medical research projects nearing breakthroughs. The programme is available to donors who commit to giving at least £5,000 each year for three years.

In return for this commitment, Action Partners will receive project visits, emails, newsletters and speaker briefings on the medical area they support.

Supporters who become an Action Partner can choose to support one of three areas:

* Stopping Suffering in Children
* Preventing the Pain of Chronic Conditions (such as Osteoporosis)

Action Medical Research’s Director of Fundraising, Lewis Coghlin said: “Action Partners… have the chance to meet and hear regularly from Action Medical Research funded teams working in this area, many of whom are leaders in their field.

“Action Medical Research aim to fund the most scientifically excellent projects and therefore we’d be really hopeful that our supporters can “be there” as the breakthrough is made.”
