Engaged couple use wedding blog to raise funds for cancer charities

Nicola Lockwood and Paul Jacques were due to get married on 4 August 2007, but decided to bring their wedding forward after the father of the bride was diagnosed with cancer. This left them with just nine weeks to plan the wedding. The 9 Week Wedding blog is the story of how they did this. The couple also used it to raise funds for Marie Curie, Cancer Research and the Cookridge Cancer Centre.
They also set up a link to the Alternative Wedding List service to help generate more funds for charity from their wedding.
