The British Red Cross has won four awards in the Event Awards 2006 for its annual London Ball in November 2005. This is the highest number of awards given to any single organisation in this year’s awards.

The Red Cross London Ball, managed by DNA Productions, received the top award – the Event Award for Best Live Event Activity. The Ball also secured gold for Best Celebration Event and Most Improved Experimental Campaign Event and silver in the Live Event category.

The London Ball is the British Red Cross’ largest fundraising ball of the year. In 2005 the Ball helped raise £650,000, £250,000 up on the previous year. Ticket, auction and raffle sales were also up and donations rose by £145,000.
