Christian Aid's name gets misused in email scam

Email scammers continue to use and abuse genuine charities’ names in an effort to con money out of the naive/greedy/foolish. The latest charity to receive this treatment is Christian Aid. According to this spam, the recipient, whether an individual or a charity, is the lucky beneficiary of Christian Aid’s scattergun largesse.
Needless to say, we do not recommend you bother responding to this scam. Those phone numbers could well be premium-rate, and since when did Christian Aid need to resort to using an excite.com email address to communicate with grants recipients?!
Here is the text of this pernicious spam:
