A third of UK company directors are stealing secrets

“The Business” has just published an interesting article on concerns about the trustworthiness of British company directors. It reports that YouGov has undertaken a survey of 1,385 UK executives, and found that just under 30% of company directors admitted taking confidential data with them when they left their companies. In addition, 10% of respondents working in the government and military sector admitted deliberately sending confidential data to unauthorised third parties.
The survey indicated that women decision-makers are more honest than men
YouGov undertook the survey on behalf of Hummingbird, the business software developer.
There has been some discussion recently about the reliability of celebrities. Well, what about the wealthy, well-connected and knowledgeable company directors whose support we seek?
Should charities, fundraisers and researchers be worried about this?
