New blog from Philanthropy in Europe
Karina Holly, editor of Philanthropy in Europe, has started publishing a blog to complement her journal’s news and insights into the charitable activities of Europe’s companies, foundations and individuals.
Karina’s first two posts cover the move by the Irish government to seek charitable funding to support infrastructure projects, and the possible dangers of democratically unaccountable large foundations such as that of Microsoft’s Bill Gates and his wife Melinda.
David Wickert of Chapel & York described Karina’s blog as the “first cross border fundraising blog”. It is certainly a welcome addition to the growing range of informed blogs that are developing in and around the fundraising sector in the UK and Europe.
