OU Business School offers £500 scholarships towards Certificate in Fundraising Management

Howard Lake | 4 August 2006 | Newswire

The Institute of Fundraising (‘Institute’) and OU Business School are announcing the availability of scholarships worth £500 for fundraisers looking to study ‘Winning Resources and Support’; the six-month distance-learning route to the Certificate in Fundraising Management. The Certificate is the UK’s leading fundraising qualification, achieved by over 1,500 fundraisers to date.
Any fundraiser, either professional or voluntary, earning less than £25,000 per year and working for a charity, voluntary or community organisation with an annual turnover below £2 million is invited to apply.
Developed in partnership with the Institute of Fundraising, (with support from Lloyds TSB Foundation), the course ‘Winning Resources and Support’ uses a combination of specially written study texts, face-to-face and online interaction, and professionally relevant assignments. Beginning in November 2006, it focuses on the skills fundraisers need to mobilise resources for your charity, and to make a difference at a community level.
Amanda Shepard, Head of Professional Development at the Institute of Fundraising says:
Winning Resources and Support is a high quality and accessible route to learning the key skills to plan, implement and evaluate fundraising effectively whilst gaining the UK’s leading qualification”.
Priority will be given to those applications that demonstrate a realistic attitude to the commitment required and how fundraising skills will benefit their organisation and personal development.
