Citizenship Foundation receives £75,000 in core funding

The Law Society Charity has given The Citizenship Foundation a one-off donation if £75,000 to support its core work.

Nigel Dodds, Law Society Charity Trustees Chairman, explained the reason for the grant: “the Citizenship Foundation’s emphasis on law-related education and its aims to empower individuals to engage in the wider community through education about the law match perfectly with our policies”, he said.

“We applaud the achievements of the Citizenship Foundation throughout the long period of our association.”

The Law Society Charity has supported the Foundation since it was established in 1989. Set up in 1974 it makes grants to a wide range of organisations and individuals with a view to directly furthering law and justice.
