Zoo poo raises funds for Colchester Zoo

Howard Lake | 9 July 2006 | News

Demonstrating that where there’s muck there’s brass, a special blend of rhino dung is being sold by Colchester Zoo to raise funds for its ‘Save the Rhinos’ campaign.

Colchester Zoo has been selling Zoo Poo for a while but is now, appropriately, generating funds for the duration of the zoo’s Rhinos campaign. For every £8.99 (including delivery) pot sold £1 is donated to the campaign.

The dung is described as “perfect for flower beds, vegetable plots and soft fruit cages”, although gardeners are encouraged to use gloves when handling it.
