Big Lottery Fund to support 'Intelligent Funder Fellowship'

Howard Lake | 2 July 2006 | News

The improvement of funding practices is high on the agenda as the Big Lottery Fund awards £250,000 to the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations (SCVO) to set up an Intelligent Funder Fellowship.

Launched on 23 June 2006 at the Glasgow-held Civicus World Assembly, the three-year fellowship will study funding issues frequently faced by the civil society organisations.

SCVO will work in partnership with Civicus, International Alliance for Citizen Participation and the Big Lottery Fund to develop a programme that will explore the concept of ‘intelligent funding’ and how it can be most effectively delivered in a way that will have a lasting impact on communities and individuals most in need.
