Vodafone UK Foundation launches Community Awards 2006

Howard Lake | 25 June 2006 | News

The Vodafone UK Foundation is seeking nominations from all charities and community organisations across the UK for Vodafone employees who support their cause.

Run in conjunction with CAF (Charities Aid Foundation), the independently judged Awards are designed to recognise the contribution made by Vodafone employees to communities across the UK. Every charity nominating a Vodafone employee or team wins an entry donation of £50 or £100, with the chance of receiving further award donations for winning entries for the ten categories. The nominating charity for the winner of the top ‘Inspiring Others Award’ will receive £1,000.

In its debut year last year, the Awards received over 370 nominations ranging from volunteering as a school governor and pro bono legal work to climbing Mount Kilimanjaro. As a result, almost £30,000 was donated to community projects across the UK.
