Beverley Webster OBE, managing director of Prosperis financial services in Leeds, has persuaded Sir Jimmy Savile to help raise money for the Cavendish Cancer Support Centre.

Prosperis hope to raise at least £20,000 by creating a snake of £1 coins that stretches 400m around Meadowhall Shopping Centre in Sheffield. The event, which includes music and entertainment, will take place at Meadowhall on 26 and 27 May.

Bradford-based online banner shop www.thebannerpeople.com, has donated a 5 metre banner for display at Meadowhall Shopping Centre to help promote the event.

Jo Stuart, marketing manager for www.thebannerpeople.com said: “The banner is 5 metres long so should be easily seen by those visiting Meadowhall, hopefully encouraging a lot of support.”

Prosperis staff represent one of 100 teams, each given £50 by corporate sponsor Halliwells LLP and challenged to raise the most money in the most innovative way.
